Meet the Team
CHARLEY Founder of Totally Tailored
Charley’s first job out of University was guiding on the open-top buses. After 6 years working for all of the major tour companies including EF and the BBC, she set up Totally Tailored in 2016 with one simple thought, ‘this can be done better’.
Gone were the days of, ‘Take your photos and be back on the bus in five minutes’ and having to recommend the restaurant that paid the most commission. Having her own company gave her the freedom to create and curate excellent experiences she could be proud of. From introducing her guests to a family-run farm in the Scottish highlands to hiring the Houses of Parliament, Charley takes pride in showcasing her country and its absolute best.
Charley is currently riding out the Covid-wave with a series of live street-based interactive virtual tours of Lockdown London which you can check out here.
BEATRICE Specialist Tour Guide
Guiding on specialist subjects is what Beatrice does best, from fashion and shopping to art history (the subject of her PhD). In her spare time she loves movies and a really good book.
David is an actor, musical theatre performer, sports lover, history buff and foodie. Whatever your interests in London, David has got it covered. Always full of fun trivia, David is a quizmaster at some of the pubs in London, he’s always got an interesting fact to tell.
Linus is a professional actor, improviser, and catwalk model. He’s a passionate fan of Harry Potter and can tell you where to find that special edition book, the newest exhibition, or the play that’s about to hit the big time.
Find Linus on one of our Harry Potter tours – or on stage at the Edinburgh festival performing sold-out shows!
JASMIN Tour Guide
When Jasmin is not delighting kids and hard-to-impress teenagers on our family tours, she’s acting as an 18th-century witch on the Cutty Sark in Greenwich or doing the occasional stand-up gig in the West End. Originally from Dublin, Jasmin is passionate about everything to do with London and loves sharing its stories with guests from across the globe
Antony is a writer and broadcaster, who used to work as the Communications Director of the Museum of London. He’s got a great eye for amazing historical sights and a knack for revealing the city’s hidden secrets, and celebrating creative Londoners (past and present).
Rob is from the North of England who moved to London eight years ago with no plans to stay, but fell in love with the city. He’s a consummate performer: he writes, composes and performs (fun fact: he’s been playing violin since the age of four).
Angus is a guide with his own history: first a Grenadier Guard, then fireman, and then as a black cab driver, his jobs represent London life. Nowadays, he shares his love for Britain’s rich history – especially Shakespeare! – on his amazing tours.
Neil is an East Londoner who drives one of London’s state-of-the-art electric black cabs with a panoramic sunroof. He’s got ‘the knowledge’ about London, and in his spare time he puts his training as a chef into practice by cooking delicious food.
Maurice is a proud London cab driver with a handsome vehicle, ‘the Knowledge’ of London, and his own tour guide qualification. He’s passionate about London’s theatre scene, so you should always ask for a tip on how to get the best seats at London’s best shows.
Find Maurice on any of our tours for a small group with a vehicle, such as the Royal Day in London.
HIRO Tour Guide
Hiro is currently very busy designing “London on Four Legs: The Ultimate Walking Tour for Dogs” for Totally Tailored Paws. He loves running and socializing and urban foraging, and has strong opinions on London’s Best Green Spaces.
AUSTIN Tour Guide
Austin is a Glaswegian, Tartan-loving, Encyclopedic ex-chef and all-round legend. He’ll know when you can get the tastiest dram or vintage souvenir and can take you into the castle or church of your dreams.
Roisin is one of the most engaging tourguides and storytellers that Edinburgh has ever seen. She’s a fan of poetry, herstory and Harry Potter. When’s she’s not out on tour, you’ll find her performing standup comedy in Edinburgh’s best comedy clubs- some call her the Scottish Sarah Silverman.
You can find Roisin on a Harry Potter’s Edinburgh tour or at most of Edinburgh open-mic nights.
WAG Tour Guide
Wag is a true Edinburgh man, with a passion for sharing his home city with visitors. When not tour guiding he often spends his days in libraries and archives, helping Scots from around the world trace their ancestry. His interest in Scottish history has even led to him living in a house visited by Bonny Prince Charlie in 1745. A retired journalist, he naturally knows all the best watering holes in the city.
Colin is the most well-versed man in Art you’ll ever meet.
Colin taught art history for over 30 years at universities and art colleges. For 25 years he has been leading specialist art tours throughout Europe and America. He now lectures regularly in the National Galleries of Scotland.
Based near Edinburgh, Colin now enjoys the advantages of sharing a lifetime of experiences in small intimate groups. His passion for his subject ensures that guests leave with a profound understanding and deep appreciation of the world of art history.
Gillian is a guide of seven years experience who loves telling tales of Scotland’s history. Having cut her teeth as a large group guide delivering both history and ghost tours, she now divides her time between small bespoke tours and historical storytelling. Last year, she became a member of the Directory of Scottish Storytellers, one of the few professional storytelling bodies in the world.
She grew up on the north east coast of Scotland, but has called Edinburgh her home since 1994, and loves nothing more than showing visitors all Scotland has to offer.
