Your guide will meet you at the back of the Royal Scottish Academy (directly opposite the Mound entrance to The National Gallery of Scotland).

Meet on the Mound
To maximise your time in the Gallery, you’ll be greeted by your private art historian guide on the steps of the Mound Entrance. They will get to know you and your level of knowledge, and welcome your thoughts and questions.

Hear the History of the Collection
Discover how a world-class collection of paintings was brought together, and housed in a temple that’s perfect for a city nicknamed ‘The Athens of the North’.

Admire the Old Masters
Relax as your guide brings to life works by Old masters, such as Botticelli, Raphael, Velazquez, and Vermeer.

Experience the Impressionists
See a unique collection of modern artists, whether Monet Degas, Gauguin, Cezanne and Van Gogh are just a few of the more modern works you will explore.
